Our Practice

Our practice is all about you. We are here for you. Your health concerns is our job and we take all your problems very seriously and aim at alleviating them within the best medical practice. We see every encounter with you as an opportunity for a healthier you both physically and mentally. This is why we are different.

We aim to provide a full range of modern general medical services in a non-discriminatory, friendly environment.

We appreciate a good laugh and a good sense of humour despite all the medical challenges.

To ensure that we meet your health care needs, our staff encourage patients to identify their cultural background or ethnic origin in their medical records. Please let the reception staff and your doctor know your particular background.

We accept appointments/bookings on first come first serve and we equally accept and encourage walk-ins and emergencies. However, booked patients and emergencies will be given first priority at the discretion of the doctor and clinic staff.

If you have chest pain, breathing difficulties, bleeding, acute injury or similar emergencies please let our staff know or call 000.

We have a simple triage system because we value your time and will aim at prompt service. Our Reception staff is trained to do this.

If you require longer appointment or need to change or cancel, please give us notice in advance.

If you require care outside of our opening hours please call 13SICK(137425) , Hello Doctor 134100 or 000.

If you require to communicate with your doctor please contact our reception staff. In most situations you will be advised to make an appointment to see your doctor. At the discretion of reception staff they may take a message and the doctor may call you back.

Our practice is committed to health promotion and preventative care where possible. We may issue you with reminder notices occasionally. We also participate in state/territory reminder systems. If you do not want to be involved in this please let your doctor know.

All your test results are strictly confidential and in order to protect your privacy our practice will not give results to patients over the phone.

We request that you make a follow up appointment within seven days or at your earliest convenience for your test results.

Our practice will send recall letters for you to check all your test results as it is in your best interest to know whether good or bad.

In an event of a serious abnormal result requiring urgent attention the patient will be contacted directly. Please make sure we have an update of your preferred phone numbers and address.

Home Visits may be available to regular patients living within a 5km radius of the practice at the discretion of the doctor. Private billing fees may be charged at the discretion of the doctor.

We collect and manage all your personal health information according to the Privacy Act 1988. Your personal health is strictly a confidential document and it is our policy to maintain the security of all medical records at all times. We participate in the e-health record, the government sponsored programme. Advise us if you do not want to be part of it.

You may request to view a copy of our privacy policy at the reception desk.

You may request for a transfer of your records to a different provider. However some fees may apply if you require more than a summary of your health record.

We will always strive to do better even when providing you the best. If you have a problem with the care you received or have had a negative experience when visiting our practice, we would like to know. Your concerns are better addressed promptly in person than by third party.

Please feel free to discuss any problems with our Practice Manager or Team Leader.

Alternatively you, may obtain and complete a complaint form from our reception staff and hand it in to us in person or by post.

All complaints are taken seriously and you may remain anonymous if you wish.

I'm your local GP. I am married to Juliet and we have four amazing kids Uche, Ossie, Chimeze and Chibikem. You can well imagine that we are busy trying to contain the mayhem at home. I have them as excuse for not having any other hobby though I have two left hands and wouldnt have done anything anyway.

You are always welcome to our Surgery. Always enjoy a good laugh here.
